페라리는 내부에서 아이코나(Icona) 프로젝트를 시작했는데요. 이번 모델이 그 첫번째 결과물입니다.
아이코나는 1950년대를 주름잡았던 영광스런 페라리 스피드스터들을 최신 기술로 부활시키자는 프로젝트에요.
몬자 SP1과 SP2의 디자인을 통해서 이를 분명하게 느낄 수 있죠.
SP1은 1인승, SP2는 2인승인데 개인적으로는 1인승이 더 매력적이네요 ^^
기술적으로는 페라리 812 슈퍼패스트를 바탕에 두고 있습니다.
섀시와 파워트레인이 거의 같아요.
이를테면 이번 모델의 엔진은 V12 6.5리터 자연흡기로 최고출력 810마력을 냅니다.
워낙 강력하고 차체가 가볍기에 2.9초면 제로백을 완수하고 제로이백은 7.9초에 끝내죠.
다만 윈드실드가 없는 오픈 타입이라 안전을 위해서 최고속도는 300km/h에서 제안했다고 하네요.
정확한 생산시기와 값은 아직 공개되지 않았지만, 소량생산이고 값 비쌀 거라는 건 집작하고도 남죠.

Maranello, 18 September 2018 – The new Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 have been unveiled in occasion of the company’s Capital Market’s Day at the factory in Maranello. These limited-edition special-series cars are the first in a new segment called ‘Icone’ and draw inspiration from the most evocative Ferraris of the 1950s and feature the most advanced sports car technology available today.
Aimed at dedicated clients and collectors, the Monza SP1 and SP2 reference the iconic Ferrari racing barchettas of the past, not least the 1948 166 MM, which originally inspired the name ‘barchetta’, and the 750 Monza and 860 Monza. Designed with the sole aim of winning, these uncompromising models helped build the Ferrari legend in the 1950s by delivering a slew of victories in the World Sports Car Championship.
The Ferrari Monza SP1 was designed as an uncompromising single-seat road car that offers a truly unique experience behind the wheel. The second configuration, the Monza SP2, thanks to the elimination of the tonneau cover and the addition of a second protective screen and a second roll-bar, is instead a two-seater enabling the passenger to share the same driving sensations.
The Monza SP1 and SP2 feature a unique design, the best weight-to-power ratio of any barchetta, thanks to the extensive use of carbon-fibre in construction, and distinctive details, such as head-and tail-lights, wheels and interior, which further enhance the cars’ exclusivity. Equipped with the most powerful engine Maranello has ever built, a 810 cv V12, they can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 7.9 seconds.
The architecture of the two cars is based on a monolithic form with an aerodynamic wing profile where the complete absence of a roof and windscreen gave the designers the freedom to create unique proportions that would not have been possible on a traditional spider.
The result is the feeling of blistering speed normally only experienced by Formula 1 drivers, which derives from the concept of a cockpit carved from the car’s very volume that wraps around the driver.
The Ferrari Design Centre has sought to create a very pure design, as though born of a single pencil stroke, to convey an ideal of timeless elegance, minimalist form and refined detail. Visually complex solutions, such as those seen on recent racing cars, have been avoided, giving way to a more understated formal design language. Never has a model expressed such a narrative power, highlighting its appeal as a driver’s car where the link between man and automobile becomes symbiotic.
A radical choice was made for the design of the cars’ compact doors which open upwards. Equally important is the all-carbon-fibre one-piece bonnet-wing assembly which is hinged at the front to showcase the imposing V12 engine once open.
As with racing models, the bodyshell of both cars is made entirely from lightweight carbon-fibre. The entire interior is trimmed in the same material with a natural finish to enhance the sporty impact of the design. Weight reduction and the ‘barchetta’ configuration guarantee unique vehicle dynamics: perfectly balanced with no roll whatsoever for pure, uncompromising sports-car handling.
Because these are authentic “en plein air” sports cars, one of the greatest challenges in their design was managing the aerodynamic flows inside the cockpit in the absence of a windscreen. The solution was the innovative patented “Virtual Wind Shield” which has been incorporated into the fairing ahead of the instrument panel and the steering wheel. The “Virtual Wind Shield” deviates a part of the air flow to maintain driving comfort.
Especially for Monza SP1 and SP2 owners Ferrari, in collaboration with two leading luxury brands, Loro Piana and Berluti, has created elegant gentlemen-driver-inspired apparel and accessories. The driver’s selection includes racing overalls, jersey, helmet, gloves, scarf and driving shoes. These feature a number of technical solutions to guarantee a comfortable fit and ensure freedom of movement while driving.

Maranello, 26 August 2018 - The Prancing Horse’s new Special Series model, the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, has been unveiled during the world-famous Concours d’Elegance® at Pebble Beach in California.
The Ferrari 488 Pista Spider is the 50th drop-top model from the Prancing Horse and a premiere in the US was a natural choice given that, ever since the 1950s, North American clients have always been keen connoisseurs of high-performance convertibles.
The new car sets a new benchmark for Ferrari for spider performance with an unprecedented weight-power ratio of 1.92 kg/cv. A result made possible by the adoption of the most powerful Ferrari V8 engine ever, which was recently named Best Engine in the world for the third consecutive year at the 2018 International Engine of the Year Awards. The 3902cc twin-turbo V8 unleashes 720 cv and combines that power with increasing torque at all engine speeds for continuous and unending acceleration all the way to the red line. The unique engine sound is now even more riveting thanks to the open-top configuration.
The Ferrari 488 Pista Spider represents the natural development of the defining design of the coupé version. The Ferrari designers’ primary objective was to maintain unaltered the perfect marriage of aerodynamic efficiency, purity of form and racing spirit.
This concept is underlined by the characteristic central livery which runs the whole length of the car, expanding towards the rear where it finishes at the end of the rear wing next to the spoiler. This continual expansion of the stripe recalls the movement of the airflow and exalts the lines of the car.
The philosophy that imposed an uncompromising choice of materials for the bodywork is also revisited in the interior solutions, with weight being saved by the use of lightweight, pared-back components. As well as the generous use of carbon-fibre and Alcantara® throughout, the carpets have been replaced by patterned aluminium foot plates and the driver’s-side door handle is now a simple strap.
In terms of engineering, the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider is directly derived from the 488 Pista which encapsulates all the racing experience gathered on world’s circuits with the 488 Challenge and the 488 GTE. As a result, the new Spider offers the highest level yet of technological transfer from the track to a road-legal drop-top car.
The vehicle dynamics honed for this Special Series 8-cylinder convertible deliver a seamless combination of razor-sharp acceleration, braking efficiency, lightning-fast gear shifting, precision steering, grip, stability and superb handling. The result? A completely captivating and unprecedented driving experience. This was achieved thanks partly to the new lateral dynamics control system, the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer (FDE), which makes on-the-limit driving more intuitive, controllable and predictable.
The car features new diamond-finish 20” alloy wheels with a novel 10-spoke star-effect interpretation of Ferrari’s traditional mid-rear engine berlinetta-style rims. Also available are the optional one-piece carbon-fibre wheels which offer a 20% weight reduction over the standard forged alloys.

페라리가 2년 만에 새로운 원오프 모델 SP38을 피오라노에서 공개했다. SP38은 488 GTB를 베이스로 만든 스페셜 모델로 F40과 308GTB를 기리는 의미를 담았다. 공식 데뷔는 이번 주말부터 시작되는 2018 콩쿠르소 델레강스 빌라 데스테에서 이뤄진다.
F40의 보닛과 리어 윙 디자인을 가져왔고 자세한 내용은 주말 정식 데뷔를 통해 알려질 전망이다. 기본 스펙은 488 GTB와 같지만 어떤 차별 포인트를 가져갔을지 궁금하다.
Maranello, May 23 2018 – The Ferrari SP38, the latest offspring from Ferrari’s One-Off programme, has been unveiled at Fiorano where, after the ceremonial handover to one of Ferrari’s most dedicated customers, the car was immediately put through its paces in a series of hot laps.
Designed by the Ferrari Design Centre on the chassis and running gear of the 488 GTB, this unique car reflects the specific vision of a client with a deep passion for racing. The result is a model that can be driven both on road and on track, while at the same time expressing all the beauty and innovation inherent in Ferrari’s road cars.
The all-new bodywork, in a newly conceived three-layer metallic red, marks a radical departure from the language aesthetic of the donor car. The twin-turbo, twin-intercooler set-up of the award-winning 488 GTB inspired the team to reference the mighty F40 as an icon from which to instruct the project’s general direction.
Compared to the 488 chassis, the visual mass of SP38 appears concentrated over the rear wheels as the wedge design sharply stretches towards the front. In plan view, the strongly tapered nose expands towards muscular wheelarches, giving the car potency and agility. Specific inset headlights were designed to be as thin as possible, with the mandatory DRL (daytime running lights) units relocated to add character and functionality to a slim bumper lip reminiscent of the 308 GTB. On the side, the defining air scoop of the 488 GTB is completely concealed where the sheet metal folds in on itself from the low beltline on the door and into the rear wheelarch and three-quarter light.
The effect is dramatic, as it reinforces the importance of the rear volume while, at the same time, maintaining the air flow to the intercoolers at the base of the side window. The dynamic styling continues over the engine cover, which sheds its rear glass and is treated as a flip-up assembly in carbon fibre with shutlines slashing the flanks in a gesture directly reminiscent of the F40’s. Three transversal slats slash across the engine cover to evacuate engine heat, and the smooth integration of a substantial rear spoiler is a hint at the famous rear wing of the F40. The trailing edge of the spoiler links seamlessly with the wing and with the aerodynamic diffuser at the bottom, to create a suggestive frame surrounding the tail volume.
A full Tailor Made cabin trim puts the finished touches on this truly special Ferrari, which will be on public display for the first time at the upcoming Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on Saturday 26th May 2018.

공기 역학은 페라리 디자인센터 팀의 작업에서 가장 중요하게 고려되는 요소 중 하나이다. 488 피스타의 디자인은 공기 역학적으로 필요한 부분을 충족시키고, 페라리만의 마라넬로 시그니처 스타일링 요소를 비롯한 미학적 비율도 충분히 고려한 강력한 퍼포먼스를 지향한다.
페라리 디자이너들은 공기역학을 고려한 전면부의 S-덕트, 플로팅 윙 효과를 만들어 내면서도 시각적으로 짧아 보이는 차량의 전면부 디자인 등의 혁신적인 디자인 요소를 활용하였다. 또한 오메가(Ω) 모양의 프로트범퍼 테두리와 공기역학을 고려한 차량의 하부구조는 488 GTB를 모티브로 디자인하였다.
측면 디자인에서 가장 주목할 만한 부분은 488 GTB의 측면 공기 흡입구에 있는 스플리터가 제거된 것이다. 이로 인해 프론트범퍼에서 시작된 공기의 흐름은 사이드 미니스커트를 따라 리어디퓨저의 측변 부속장치까지 미끄러지듯 흘러가게 된다.
전면의 컨셉은 돌핀 테일 리어 스포일러에도 반영되어 가볍고 효율적인 느낌을 주며, 후면의 볼륨 덕분에 차의 후미가 힘 있어 보인다. 리어 디퓨저는 488 GTE의 디자인에서 영감을 얻어 돌출된 형태로 개발되었다.
프론트 범퍼에서 시작되어 S-덕트를 지나 리어스포일러까지 이어지는 투톤의 상징적인 컬러 역시 페라리 488 피스타만의 특징적인 디자인이다.
콕핏 (COCKPIT)
페라리 488 피스타의 인테리어는 불필요한 모든 요소가배제된독특한 레이싱 느낌을 준다. 카본파이버, 알칸타라와 같은 경량 특수 소재들의 광범위한 적용은 페라리의 세심한 제작방식, 정교한 디자인과 잘 어우러져 페라리 콕핏을 특별하게 만든다. 세심한 수작업으로 완성되는 스티치와 대조를 이루는 알루미늄으로 제작된 발판과힐레스트(heel rests), 흐르는 듯 디자인된 도어 패널역시 그 좋은 예이다.
일반적으로 조수석 앞의 대시 보드에 위치했던 글러브 박스는 뒷좌석 벤치와도어의 간편한 보관 포켓으로 대체되었다. 이를 통해 대시 보드의 하부 공간이 시각적으로 슬림 해 보인다.

Maranello, 21 February 2018 – The Ferrari 488 Pista, which will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, is the successor to Ferrari’s V8-engined special series - the 360 Challenge Stradale, 430 Scuderia and 458 Speciale – which have received critical acclaim for their performance and undiluted handling.
The Ferrari 488 Pista marks a significant step forward from the previous special series in terms of both sporty dynamics and for the level of technological carry-over from racing. The name is, in fact, a direct homage to Ferrari’s unparalleled heritage in motor sports.
The car’s development evolved directly from the company’s involvement in the FIA World Endurance Championship - where it has won five Manufacturers’ titles in the GTE class in the six years since the series’ inception, taking 29 out of 50 races - and 25 years’ experience in running the Ferrari Challenge one-make series.
The Ferrari 488 Pista’s extensive weight saving solutions, along with engine, vehicle dynamics and aerodynamic developments all derive from Ferrari’s racing cars: the 488 GTE and the 488 Challenge. The result is a car with an uncompromising mission: to offer track-like performance on and off the road, even when in the hands of non-professional drivers.
Compared to the 488 GTB, the new model weighs an impressive 90 kg less (1280 kg dry) which, when combined with the largest ever increase in engine power for a special series car (+50 cv), results in a new benchmark for Ferrari’s V8 sports cars.
Its engine is the most powerful V8 in Ferrari history and is an extreme evolution of the turbo unit that has won the overall International Engine of the Year award titles in both 2016 and 2017.
It punches out 720 cv with the highest specific output of in its class (185 cv/l) and is now lighter too, thanks to solutions adopted from the 488 Challenge, including Inconel exhaust manifolds and lightweight crankshaft and flywheel, but also thanks to additional features, such as titanium con rods and carbon-fibre intake plenums.
The 488 Challenge also supplies the turbos with integrated rev sensors along with the design of the air intake line which has been moved from the flanks to the rear spoiler area to ensure a cleaner flow of air.
Torque is higher than the 488 GTB at all engine speeds, delivering a feeling of consistently smooth, powerful acceleration with even faster turbo response times despite the increase in power.
The engine sound is unique and unmistakably Ferrari, as such a special car warrants. Both the sound quality and the intensity are higher than the 488 GTB in all gears and at all engine speeds in proportion with the progressive increase in power.
The Ferrari 488 Pista makes full use of Ferrari’s motor-sports experience for maximum aerodynamic performance even on the road. Among the racing solutions adopted is the front F1-inspired S-Duct and the design of the front diffusers which feature a ramp angle that was optimised for the 488 GTE to create strong suction for increased downforce.
The underbody vortex generators have also been redesigned, and the rear diffuser incorporates the same double kink as the 488 GTE to increase the air extraction and downforce generation compared to a traditional diffuser. In addition, the rear blown spoiler is higher and longer and the shape has been optimised. The final result of all these interventions is an impressive 20% increase in downforce.
The vehicle dynamics were designed to enhance driving pleasure and make the car’s full potential available to all drivers, professional or otherwise. The objective was to make the car’s performance on the limit easier to reach and control.
This was achieved by synergies between the development of the mechanical set-up and the electronic dynamic controls integrated into version 6 of the Side-Slip Angle Control system. SSC 6.0 incorporates all the following systems: E-Diff3, F1-Trac, the magnetorheological suspension (SCM) and, for the first time ever, the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer. The FDE features a world-first: it uses Ferrari software to adjust the brake pressure at the callipers. This additional level of control further fine-tunes the Ferrari 488 Pista’s performance through, and powering out of, corners making the car’s handling even more effortless, intuitive and predictable. The extra confidence the system gives means that drivers can more easily control yaw angles, even on the limit, and develop a completely symbiotic relationship with the car resulting in the perfect combination of genuinely extreme performance and driving thrills.
The suspension set-up is completed by new tyres developed specifically for the car by Michelin.
The design of the Ferrari 488 Pista is focussed on functional aerodynamic concepts while the cockpit is pared back in keeping with its very sporty vocation. Ferrari Design used innovative elements, such as the aerodynamic S-Duct at the front, as an opportunity to visually shorten the car’s nose, creating an original floating wing effect.
The racing livery colour scheme is an integral part of the design of the car and the way it dives into the S-Duct underscores the berlinetta’s compact yet imposing forms. Contrasting edging on the aerodynamic elements on the bumpers and flanks add structure to the design.
The concept of the front is echoed in the dolphin-tail rear spoiler which appears suspended to provide an impression lightness and efficiency, while the rear volumes add a sense of power to the tail.
The car’s underlying sense of extreme purpose is also highlighted by the adoption for the first time on a Ferrari of optional new 20” carbon-fibre wheel rims, while other carbon-fibre parts include the engine cover, bumpers and rear spoiler.

페라리가 스포티함과 편안한 승차감을 동시에 지닌 새로운 8기통 컨버터블 GT 스포츠카 ‘페라리 포르토피노(Ferrari Portofino)’를 공개했다.
특별히 이번 모델에는 이탈리아에서 최고의 명소 중 하나로 손꼽히는 도시 포르토피노(Portofino)의 이름이 붙여졌다. 페라리의 새 모델은, 우아한 품격과 스포티함 그리고 절제된 고급스러움이 아름다운 항구 도시이자 인기 여행지인 포르토피노와 닮아 있다. 페라리 포르토피노의 런칭 컬러 역시 이 아름다운 항구도시를 본떠 로쏘 포르토피노(Rosso Portofino)라고 이름 지어졌다.
최대 출력 600 마력, 100km/h 도달 시간 3.5초로 페라리 라인업 중 가장 강력한 컨버터블인 페라리 포르토피노는 접이식 하드톱, 넓은 트렁크 공간과 여유 있는 운전석, 2+시트 배치 등의 특징을 지녀 가까운 여행에 안성맞춤이다.
페라리 포르토피노는 신기술 도입을 통해 새시와 차체(body-in-white)의 비틀림 강성은 증가한 반면 전체 무게는 줄어, 이전 모델인 캘리포니아 T에 비해 눈에 띄게 경량화되었다는 특징을 가진다.
또한 탑재된 엔진은 2016, 2017 올해의 엔진상 수상에 빛나는 페라리의 8기통 터보 엔진으로, 새로운 부품과 엔진 조정 소프트웨어(engine management software)의 정확한 측정을 통해 이전보다 40 마력 더 강한 출력을 자랑한다. 페라리 특유의 8기통 사운드트랙 역시 더욱 향상되었는데 이는 특히 오픈톱 주행에서 돋보인다.

페라리 디자인 센터는 매끄러운 실루엣에 우아함과 역동성을 더하여 스포티함을 두드러지게 함으로써 투 박스 패스트백(two-box fastback) 형태의 공격적인 스타일로 전례 없는 접이식 하드톱 쿠페 컨버터블을 디자인했다.
페라리의 공기 역학 부서(Aerodynamics department)와 디자인 부서의 협력은 극대화된 차체 디자인(surface treatment)을 이끌어냈다. 차 전면에 위치한 곡선 모양의 라디에이터 그릴은 가로 모양의 풀-LED 헤드라이트로 더욱 돋보이며, 항력 감소를 위해 앞면 휠 아치로 흡입돼 측면을 따라 배출되는 페라리의 혁신적인 공기 흡입구는 헤드라이트 가장자리의 안쪽으로 보이지 않게 가렸다.
후면의 경우 후미등의 간격을 넓혀 한층 강화된 스포티함을 강조했다. 또한 이 디자인을 통해 경량화된 새로운 접이식 하드톱(RHT)의 탑재 공간이 차체 후면에 깔끔하게 배치되었다.
또 하나의 주목할만한 특징은 편안한 승차감과 실용성이다. 이를 위해 페라리 포르토피노는 인포테인먼트 시스템의 10.2” 터치스크린, 일반 주행과 오픈톱 주행 두 경우 모두 탑승자의 편안함을 증가시키는 에어컨 시스템, 새로운 스티어링 휠, 뒷좌석 탑승자의 공간(leg room)을 넓혀주는 18개 방향 전자 조절식 좌석, 그리고 패신저 디스플레이 등을 갖췄다. 그리고 신형 윈드 디플렉터(wind deflector)를 통해 오픈톱 주행 시 차체 내부의 공기흐름을 30% 감소시켰고 공기역학에 의해 발생하는 소음도 크게 줄였다.
