BMW는 5월 20일 'M4 CSL'을 유럽에서 발표했다. 신형 ‘M4 쿠페’를 베이스로 경량화를 도모하는 등 고성능 모델로 세계 한정 1,000대를 생산할 예정이다.

「CSL」이란, 「Coupe(또는 Competition) Sport Lightweigh」의 약어. BMW M의 2도어 쿠페 정점에 위치한 모델이다. 하지만, 2004년 'M3 CSL 쿠페'가 마지막이었다. 이후에는 나오지 않다가 18년 만에 부활했다.

 

초점은 경량화. 뒷좌석을 분리해 2시터화하는 것으로, 21kg의 무게를 덜었고, 풀 버킷 시트 채용으로 24kg, M 카본 세라믹 브레이크나 전용 알루미늄 휠 등, 섀시의 변경으로 21kg, 차음재를 줄이고 경량 단열재 를 사용하여 15kg. 보닛과 트렁크 리드, 센터 콘솔에 탄소 섬유 강화 플라스틱 (CFRP)를 사용하여 11kg, 티타늄제 소음기로 4kg 등의 무게를 덜었다. 이렇게 해서 총 무게는 1,625kg으로 억제되었다.

 

 

파워트레인도 강화했다. 직분사 3.0리터 직렬 6기통 가솔린 트인터보 엔진의 터보 부스트 압력을 1.7bar에서 2.1bar로 끌어올렸다. 이 결과, 최고출력은 신형 M4 쿠페의 「콤페티션」보다, 40hp 높은 550hp/6250rpm까지 뿜는다. 최대토크는 66.3kgm으로 같지만, 2,750~5,950rpm의 보다 폭넓은 영역에서 만든다.

 

변속기는 "드라이브 로직」를 탑재한 8단 「M스텝 트로닉」이다. 동력 성능은 0~100km/h 가속이 0.2초 단축되어 3.7초에. 최고속은 290km/h에서 307km/h로 올랐다.

With its next-level power and intelligent lightweight design, two-seater configuration, model-specific chassis upgrades and equipment features selected specially for the job at hand, the new BMW M4 CSL has track driving as its raison d’être. The genes the M4 CSL shares with its competition-spec sibling, the BMW M4 GT3, are also reflected in its performance attributes. In test runs on the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife circuit, the BMW M4 CSL posted the fastest lap times ever for a series-produced BMW car. On the version of the track traditionally used for comparison purposes – which is 20.600 kilometres / 12.8 miles in length and doesn’t include the straight at section T13 – it stopped the clock at 7 min. 15.677 sec. Its official and notarised lap time for the 20.832-kilometres / 12.943-mile circuit (the complete lap) was 7 min. 20.207 sec. Acceleration figures of 3.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) and 10.7 seconds for the sprint from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) are similarly impressive.

“Competition, Sport, Lightweight”: a recipe with a rich tradition.

The stripped-back racing character of the BMW M4 CSL is underpinned by a time-honoured concept that harnesses cutting-edge development expertise and the latest technology to create an enthralling end result. “CSL” stands for “Competition, Sport, Lightweight”, referencing the critical role of weight-minimised design in achieving success in motor sport. The BMW 3.0 CSL developed by BMW Motorsport GmbH according to this same principle won the European Touring Car Championship at the first attempt in 1973. And the M4 CSL is also following in the tyre tracks of successful special-edition models from earlier generations of the BMW M3/M4, most notably the legendary BMW M3 CSL from 2003 and the BMW M4 GTS unveiled in 2016.

For BMW M GmbH, the world premiere of the new BMW M4 CSL at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este (20 – 22 May 2022) will be one of the highlights of its 50th anniversary year. Production of the special-edition model will begin – in a limited run of exactly 1,000 examples – at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing in July 2022.

Present and correct in the fundamentals and the details: intelligent lightweight design in the BMW M4 CSL.

Its talent for innovation and racing-car know-how enabled BMW M GmbH to restrict the special edition’s DIN kerb weight to 1,625 kilograms. A standout power-to-weight ratio of 2.95 kilograms per hp (4.01 kg/kW) provides the ideal platform for a dynamically sublime driving experience.

Fitting M Carbon full bucket seats reduced weight by around 24 kilograms on its own compared with the standard seats fitted in the BMW M4 Competition Coupé. 21 kilograms were saved by removing the rear seats and seat belts, integrating a partition and making the associated modifications to the luggage compartment. And chassis changes, including the addition of extra-lightweight M Carbon ceramic brakes and special light-alloy wheels, springs and struts, lowered the figure by around another 21 kilograms. Paring back the amount of soundproofing plus switching to ultra-lightweight sound insulation saved around 15 kilograms, while the use of components made from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) deducted some eleven kilograms. For example, in addition to its CFRP roof, the bonnet and boot lid of the BMW M4 CSL are also hewn from this lightweight high-tech material, as is its centre console. And a titanium rear silencer cuts more than four kilograms from the weight of the exhaust system. Detail modifications to areas such as the BMW kidney grille, rear lights, floor mats and automatic climate control shave off another four kilograms.

Exclusive exterior paint finish, model-specific design features.

The body of the BMW M4 CSL is painted in the exclusive Frozen Brooklyn Grey metallic as standard. This exterior shade teams up with exposed carbon-fibre surfaces and red accents to create a visually expressive appearance of sporting purity. Alternatively, customers can specify their new M4 CSL in Alpine White solid or Sapphire Black metallic.

The carbon-fibre structure of the body components is visible in various areas, including the two chiselled indents in the bonnet. The surfaces of the indents – which are not painted in body colour – are highlighted additionally by red outlines. Red accent lines also bring extra emphasis to the two fins on the CFRP roof of the new BMW M4 CSL, the contours of its side sills, the black model badges, and the model-specific CFRP splitters and air curtain inserts in the front apron.

BMW Laserlight: yellow headlights and innovative rear lights.

The optionally available BMW Laserlight headlights bring another head-turning accent to the front end of the new BMW M4 CSL. Both in the welcome effect triggered when unlocking the doors and when the low and high beam are switched on, these headlights illuminate in yellow rather than white, bringing to mind the look of successful GT racing cars.

The LED rear lights of the new BMW M4 CSL are equipped as standard with technology making its debut in a series-produced car. Their glass covers have intricate light threads woven into them which are illuminated using laser technology, bringing a vibrant structure to the surface of the lights. This creates a highly distinctive light signature that is recognisable from a long distance during the hours of darkness.

Six-cylinder in-line engine with race-focused character.

The model-specific power unit of the BMW M4 CSL is based on the same high-revving, six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology found in the BMW M4 GT3 racing car. Its substantial performance reserves enabled a major hike in power without having to make any concessions in terms of stability or durability. Key to this power boost was an increase in the maximum charge pressure of the two mono-scroll turbochargers from 1.7 bar to 2.1 bar and model-specific tweaks to the engine management. The BMW M4 CSL’s engine develops peak torque of 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) between 2,750 and 5,950 rpm. Its maximum output of 405 kW/550 hp is produced at 6,250 rpm.

The race-derived design of the 3.0-litre engine is focused squarely on high revs and maximum power development. The crankcase’s sleeve-free, closed-deck construction helps to make it extremely rigid, while the forged lightweight crankshaft allows it to handle extremely high levels of torque. Another special M-specific feature is the cylinder head core made using 3D printing techniques.

Both the cooling and oil supply systems are designed to handle the particular challenges presented by track driving. The twin-tailpipe exhaust system with electrically controlled flaps and weight-minimised titanium rear silencer additionally generates a racing-car-inspired, emotionally engaging engine note created especially for the new BMW M4 CSL.

The drive torque produced by the engine is relayed to the rear wheels of the new BMW M4 CSL via an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. Model-specific mountings for the engine and transmission ensure the engine’s power is translated into dynamic performance in exceptionally rapid and direct fashion. The firmer connection of the engine and transmission to the car’s structure is clearly perceptible, especially under hard driving.

Optimised body rigidity, model-specific chassis technology.

Like the engine in the new BMW M4 CSL, its chassis technology benefits from a wealth of detail upgrades – which have been tailored to the power unit’s performance characteristics. These modifications also factor in the substantial reduction in vehicle weight at play here and the model-specific improvements to body rigidity, allowing the blend of handling agility, dynamism and precision for which BMW M cars are renowned to be taken to new heights.

In the engine compartment, a composition of front-end strut braces developed entirely from scratch raises the body rigidity of the new BMW M4 CSL up another level. Using numerical models, the geometry of the cast aluminium elements between the spring strut towers and the front end has been adapted precisely to the forces exerted in different driving situations.

The individually tuned axle kinematics and model-specific wheel camber settings, dampers, auxiliary springs and anti-roll bars optimise steering precision, transmission of lateral control forces when cornering, spring and damping response, and wheel location. The model-specific wheel suspension is accompanied by a drop in ride height of eight millimetres compared with the BMW M4 Competition Coupé. Also to be found on the standard equipment list for the special-edition model are adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled dampers, electromechanical M Servotronic steering with variable ratio and M Carbon ceramic brakes. An M-specific version of the integrated braking system offers the driver excellent pedal feel even when pushing the dynamic limits and in adverse road conditions.

M Traction Control optimised for the track.

The standard-fitted M Traction Control function with model-specific track tuning lets the driver set individual intervention thresholds for wheel slip limitation. On dry surfaces, stages 1 to 5 of M Traction Control help the driver to execute controlled drifts. Stages 6 to 10 are based on the application developed for touring car racers and make allowance for both surface conditions and tyre temperature to maximise traction and directional stability.

Also specified as standard are forged M light-alloy wheels in an exclusive cross-spoke design (19 inches at the front axle and 20 inches at the rear). These are fitted with high-performance tyres specially developed for the special-edition model in size 275/35 ZR19 (front) and 285/30 ZR20 (rear).

Equipment designed to provide a race-car feeling and everyday usability.

Model-specific equipment features give the BMW M4 CSL a distinctive balance between sports car purism, unrestricted everyday usability and exclusive premium substance. The M Carbon full bucket seats for the driver and co-driver are marked out by their self-supporting CFRP structure and purposeful rejection of comfort-enhancing features. They have a fixed backrest angle, forward/back adjustments can be made manually, and the seat height can only be adjusted in a workshop using a three-stage screw linkage. The M Carbon full bucket seats also have detachable head restraints and allow the integration of a six-point belt system.

The M Alcantara steering wheel, anthracite-coloured headliner, Carbon Fibre interior trim strips, “CSL” badges on the seats, centre console and rear panel, plus M-specific displays also help to create the perfect on-board setting for concentrated driving pleasure. Merino leather trim with extended features and M seat belts are also standard. Two helmet storage units can be found in the rear compartment.

The M-specific control/operation system includes the M Setup button for direct access to numerous vehicle settings and two M buttons on the steering wheel for storing preferred configurations. Standard equipment also features the M Drive Professional system including M Drift Analyser and M Laptimer, plus the M Mode button for activating the ROAD, SPORT and TRACK settings.

The likewise standard BMW Live Cockpit Professional comprises a fully digital screen grouping made up of an instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch screen diagonal behind the steering wheel and a 10.25-inch control display. Among its functions are the navigation system BMW Maps, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, smartphone integration, telephony with wireless charging and a Wi-Fi interface. The BMW Head-Up Display with M-specific elements and the BMW Drive Recorder can be ordered from the options list.

The range of comfort-enhancing features and driver assistance systems fitted in the BMW M4 CSL are focused on the essentials, in keeping with its intelligent lightweight design approach and puristic vehicle concept. Standard specification includes automatic climate control, Park Distance Control, Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Speed Limit Info. Two-zone automatic climate control, an alarm, and the Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant systems are available as options.

BMW가 웅장한 존재감과 고급스러움이 한층 강화된 플래그십 SAV 뉴 X7을 최초로 공개했다.

BMW X7은 따라올 수 없는 고급스러움과 최상의 동력 성능, 드넓은 공간감과 다재다능함이 완벽하게 조화를 이룬 플래그십 스포츠 액티비티 비히클(SAV) 모델이다. 부분변경을 거치며 한층 진화한 뉴 X7은 현대적인 감각으로 더욱 강렬해진 외부 디자인, 디지털 경험이 강화된 실내, 그리고 진보된 운전자 보조 시스템 및 고급 편의사양이 다양하게 적용됐다.

 

뉴 X7은 부분변경을 거치며 웅장함과 존재감이 한층 강조됐다. 먼저 뉴 X7에는 상하로 나누어진 분리형 헤드라이트가 처음으로 적용됐다. 상단에 자리잡은 수평 LED 조명은 주간주행등과 방향지시등, 차폭등을 포함하고 있으며 하단에 위치한 LED 유닛은 상향등 및 하향등이 내장된다. 더불어 하단 LED 유닛은 하우징을 어둡게 마감해 마치 프론트 에이프런에 녹아 든 듯한 인상을 자아내며, 헤드라이트가 점등된 경우만 모습을 드러낸다. 이 신형 어댑티브 매트릭스 LED 헤드라이트는 악천후 상황에서 자동으로 전방 안개등 역할을 수행하는 기능이 추가된다.

BMW 키드니 그릴에는 ‘아이코닉 글로우(Iconic Glow)’라 불리는 조명이 모델에 따라 기본 또는 선택사양으로 제공돼 앞모습에 선명하면서도 풍성한 감성을 부여한다. 뒷면에는 극도로 얇게 디자인된 3차원 리어라이트가 자리잡고 있으며, 정교한 글래스 커버로 덮인 우아한 크롬 바가 좌우 리어라이트를 연결해 고급스러운 감각을 증폭시킨다.

 

실내는 첨단 분위기로 거듭났다. 새로운 디지털 계기판과 BMW 커브드 디스플레이는 운전석에 모던한 감각을 부여하며, 앰비언트 라이트와 함께 기본 사양으로 제공되는 혁신적인 라이트 바는 상황에 맞춰 실내에 다양한 조명 효과를 부여해 고급스러움을 한층 배가한다. 기어 셀렉터 레버 역시 새로운 최첨단 디자인으로 탈바꿈했다.

뉴 X7에는 BMW OS 8 기반의 BMW 라이브 콕핏 플러스가 기본 사양으로 제공된다. BMW 라이브 콕핏 플러스는 12.3인치 인포메이션 디스플레이와 14.9인치 컨트롤 디스플레이로 구성된 BMW 커브드 디스플레이로 이루어지며, 터치 및 제스처 조작, 자연어 인식 능력이 향상된 최신 iDrive 시스템이 포함된다.

또한, 광대역 무선 기술(UWB)을 활용한 BMW 디지털 키 플러스 기능이 추가되면 향상된 보안 성능으로 스마트폰 디지털 키 기능을 사용할 수 있으며, 최적화된 스마트폰 통합 기능, 개인화된 BMW ID, 신형 5G 모바일 기술용으로 설계된 eSIM의 혜택을 누릴 수 있다.

이외에도 모델에 따라 스카이 라운지 파노라믹 글래스 선루프, 바워스 & 윌킨스 다이아몬드 서라운드 사운드 시스템, 새롭게 디자인된 트래블 & 컴포트 시스템, 운전석 및 조수석 액티브 통풍시트와 마사지 기능 등 다양한 고급 편의사양이 기본 또는 선택사양으로 제공되며, 새로운 컴포트 패키지가 추가되면 운전석 및 조수석 암 레스트 열선 기능, 2열 및 3열 열선 시트 등이 탑재된다.

 

최상급인 뉴 X7 M60i xDrive에는 최고출력 530마력, 최대토크 76.5kg·m를 발휘하는 신형 V8 4.4리터 M 트윈파워 터보 가솔린이 탑재되었다.

 

뉴 X7은 모든 모델에 에어 서스펜션이 기본으로 탑재돼 BMW 특유의 역동적인 주행성능과 최상의 승차감을 동시에 제공한다. 여기에 뉴 X7 M60i xDrive에는 인테그랄 액티브 스티어링, 액티브 롤 스태빌라이제이션 기능이 포함된 이그제큐티브 드라이브 시스템이 기본 사양으로 적용되며, BMW 모델 사상 최초로 23인치 경량 합금 휠이 선택사양으로 제공된다.

BMW 뉴 X7은 운전자 보조 시스템이 한층 강화됐다. 전방 출동 경고 시스템은 기능 해제 시에도 자전거, 보행자, 다가오는 차량 등과의 충돌 가능성을 감지해 위험을 감소시키고, 도어를 열 때 충돌 위험이 감지되는 경우 이를 미리 알리는 하차 경고 기능도 새롭게 제공된다. 파킹 어시스턴트 프로페셔널이 탑재되면 후진 어시스턴트가 최대 200m까지 후진을 보조하며, 새로운 트레일러 어시스턴트는 트레일러를 견인할 때 후진 주행을 보다 손쉽게 할 수 있도록 돕는다.

새로운 매뉴버 어시스턴트(Manoeuvre Assistant)는 최대 200미터 거리에 달하는 이동 과정을 저장한다. 차량이 기억해 놓은 시작 지점에 도달하면 매뉴버 어시스턴트가 가속, 브레이크, 스티어링, 그리고 전진 및 후진 기어 변속에 이르기까지 이동 동작을 완료하는 데 필요한 모든 작업을 저장된 대로 수행한다. 자율 동작이 진행되는 동안 운전자는 차량 주변을 확인하기만 하면 된다.

한편, BMW 뉴 X7은 오는 4분기 국내 시장에 공식 출시될 예정이다.

BMW가 2021년 11월 30일, 미국 플로리다 주에서 개최된 아트 바젤 마이애미에 컨셉트카 XM을 공개했습니다.

 

파격적인 디자인이라 벌써부터 호불호가 극명하게 갈립니다. BMW는 이를 새로운 프로그레시브 디자인이라하고, 반대편에선 개뼉다구같은 디자인이라고 폄하하네요. 

 

예상했던 X8이 아니라 이름에 XM을 붙인 건 플러그인 하이브리드 버전으로 M 모델로만 판매될 예정이기 때문입니다. V8 엔진과 전기 모터를 결합해 시스템 출력 750마력, 최대토크 102kgm의 성능을 내리라 봅니다. 전기로만 주행가능 거리는 80km 남짓이고요.

 

BMW는 이번 프리뷰 모델을 기반으로 양산형을 완성해, 2022년 말부터 미국 스파르탄버그 공장에서 생산할 예정입니다. ​

Munich. At Art Basel’s 2021 Miami Beach show, BMW M GmbH is presenting an expressive new vehicle concept on the global stage for the first time. The BMW Concept XM looks ahead to the most powerful BMW M car ever to go into series production, which is set to begin at the end of next year. At the same time, the BMW Concept XM shines the spotlight on standout aspects of the M brand. Electrification underpins an extraordinary driving experience which allows the driver to both glide along in near silence and enjoy the time-honoured pleasure of high performance, M-style. The BMW Concept XM provides a first glimpse of the new front-end design for BMW’s forthcoming luxury-class models. It will also introduce its audience to a highly progressive and distinctive take on BMW X model design and an all-new form of luxury and sense of space for the interior.

The series-production model – the BMW XM – will be built from the end of 2022 at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg in the USA, the most important sales market for the new high-performance car. BMW M will therefore be introducing its first standalone vehicle since the legendary BMW M1 in the year it celebrates its 50th anniversary.  The BMW XM will be available in plug-in hybrid form only and exclusively as an M model.

The bold exterior styling of the Concept XM reflects the car’s exceptional performance attributes: dynamism, agility and precision, plus an all-electric range of up to 80 km. The newly developed M Hybrid drive system in the BMW Concept XM brings together a V8 engine and a high-performance electric motor to develop maximum output of 550 kW/750 hp and peak torque of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft). The first electrified vehicle from BMW M GmbH in the high-performance segment is therefore pointing the way for the future of the brand.

“The BMW Concept XM represents a complete re-imagining of the high-performance car segment,” says Franciscus van Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH. “It underlines the ability of BMW M GmbH to break with established conventions and push boundaries in order to offer fans of the brand the ultimate driving experience. BMW M goes its own way in the luxury segment.
The BMW Concept XM sees BMW M GmbH forging a distinctive path in the luxury segment. The car’s exterior majors on presence and extrovert appeal. Inside the car, a special take on the driver-focused cockpit for which M models are renowned meets an all-new rear compartment design: with its high-comfort seats and illuminated, sculptural headliner, the M Lounge offers passengers a luxurious retreat.

“The design of the BMW Concept XM is an extravagant statement by BMW M in the heart of the luxury segment,” says Domagoj Dukec, Head of BMW Design. “It has a unique identity and embodies an expressive lifestyle like no other model in the BMW line-up.”

The front end: progressive design for maximum presence.
The BMW Concept XM debuts the new, progressive front-end design for BMW’s luxury-class models, a version of which will be seen for the first time in 2022 as part of the BMW model offensive in the luxury segment. The headlights have been split into two separate modules, a new design feature which creates a visually arresting appearance. The daytime driving light signature in the sharply styled, slim upper module is particularly eye-catching. The horizontal kidney grille sits boldly between the headlights and tapers towards the outer edges, producing a near-octagonal outline that emphasises the front end’s dynamic character. The black kidney grille elements are enclosed within an intricate surround and appear almost to be floating freely within a High-gloss Black surface. M-style double bars within the grille add to the perception of width. Eye-catching contour lighting sets off the grille to fine effect, ensuring the striking composition of kidneys and daytime driving lights is immediately recognisable in the dark as well. The new XM logo in the kidney grille and the large air intakes hint at the power of the V8 engine, which teams up with the electric motor to form the M Hybrid system.

M-specific details point to compromise-free performance.
The glasshouse of the BMW Concept XM rises up vertically, accentuating the front end’s strong, imposing feel. The colour of the roof contrasts with the black finish of the A-pillars. The windscreen seems to have an even heavier rake as a result, injecting modern dynamism into the front end. Slim LED searchlights have been incorporated into the roof above the A-pillars. The boldly sculpted bonnet extends the contours of the kidney grille back in the form of two power domes. A pair of air intakes in the bonnet mimic the appearance of the LED searchlights in the roof and add extra dynamic flair. Framing the statuesque body at its lower edge are the clean-cut black surfaces of the front apron. Triangular body-coloured blades at the outer edges accentuate the vertical air intakes while emphasising the sporty and robust stance of the BMW Concept XM.

The side view: an expression of unbridled dynamism.
The powerful and heavily contoured proportions of the BMW Concept XM highlight the car’s resolutely standalone identity and draw the eye to the coupé-like character of the body. The visually striking front end, long bonnet and stretched, sloping roofline present a characterful two-box design with a distinctive outline. The window graphic narrows significantly as it approaches the rear, enriching the dynamism of the side view.

The two-tone paint finish of the BMW Concept XM further accentuates its distinctive lines: the upper section is in matt gold-bronze, while the lower section sports the Space Grey metallic shade. Below the window graphic, a broad, High-gloss Black line – the “black belt” – separates the two exterior colours. The signature M exterior mirrors give the car a clean-cut and technical, sporty edge. The charging flap rearwards of the front-left wheel is a reminder of the M Hybrid drive system at work.

Throughout the side view, deliberately short character lines, which start off boldly before fading softly, accentuate the car’s agile, modern feel. The expressive rear lights extend well into the car’s flanks and create an eye-catching transition into the rear. The black cladding typical of BMW X models above the wheels and on the side skirts is very clearly defined and gives the body an elevated appearance. The elongated body sits on 23-inch light-alloy wheels, which bring extra power and solidity to the side view.

The rear : powerful stature and newly interpreted design.
The design of the rear end likewise accentuates the car’s powerful stature, and the BMW Concept XM cuts a low and sporty figure from this angle. The rear window is inserted almost seamlessly into the rear end. The fresh interpretation of the design can also be seen in the arrangement of the BMW logo, which is laser-etched into the window below each of the two cant rails. This is a stylistic reference to the BMW M1, to date the only example of a standalone model developed exclusively by BMW M GmbH.

Lower down at the rear end, prominently flared wheel arches draw attention to the car’s powerful stance on the road. Extremely slim and boldly L-shaped rear lights extending across almost the entire width of the rear add to the effect. The lights themselves have a dark appearance when not active, giving way to a precise and uniform shade of red when switched on. Dominating the rear apron are the characteristic twin tailpipes of BMW M models. The dual-branch, twin-tailpipe exhaust system employed here reduces backpressure for the V8 engine and also generates the emotionally rich M-typical soundtrack accompanying the engine’s imposing power delivery. The vertical arrangement and hexagonal interpretation of the tailpipes breathe new life into this classically iconic feature.

The interior design – high performance and extrovert luxury.
Inside the BMW Concept XM, the driver will find a distinctive M interpretation of driver-focused cockpit design. The lines and surface design of the instrument panel, centre console, door trim and seats give the ambience in the front compartment a progressive feel with their powerful geometry and high-quality materials. Brown, vintage-look leather, copper and carbon fibre create a bridge between luxury and motor sport. A bold trim element provides clear visual separation between the driver’s area and the other sections of the car.

Inside the cockpit area, a decorative surface made from carbon fibre with interwoven copper thread creates a sporty and exclusive base for displays, air vents and control/operating elements. The new BMW Curved Display screen grouping positioned above it creates a neat balance between traditional driver focus and modern digitality. Red accents on the steering wheel and centre console are M-specific references to the car’s sporting prowess. A trio of vertical elements presented in the three colours of the BMW M brand logo form the heart of the centre console.

Spacious and luxurious: the M Lounge.
The unwavering driver focus of the front compartment contrasts with the extravagant and luxurious lounge-like ambience in the rear of the BMW Concept XM. Special materials, visually powerful surfaces and expressive details turn the rear seats into the unique M Lounge, black-tinted rear side windows underscoring the abiding sense of privacy here. While warm brown leather dominates the cockpit, the rear is decked out in the rich colour shade Petrol. The large rear seat bench with its deep seat recesses forms an inviting space to relax. Only the diamond-shaped area of the head restraints – which provides the supporting function familiar from BMW M Sport seats in other models – is leather-trimmed. The lower sections of the seats offer high comfort and an exclusive couch character with their luxurious velvet upholstery and diamond quilting. Deep-pile carpeting with a diamond pattern adds to the exclusive impression.

Illuminated and sculptural: the headliner .
The visual highlight of the cabin is its headliner with a three-dimensional prism structure. A combination of indirect and direct lighting produces a relief-like structure which showcases the headliner as an exclusive work of art. Together with the ambient lighting, it highlights the BMW Concept XM’s blend of luxury and comfort to extremely striking effect. The ambient lighting can be activated in the three BMW M colours.

BMW Curved Display with M-specific user interface.
Based on the latest generation of BMW iDrive, the M-specific version of the control/operation system translates the high-performance character of the BMW Concept XM into the digital world. Showcased in the familiar three M colours, the user interface lends itself perfectly to a sporty driving experience. It visualises the modes of the hybrid drive system as well as the pure-electric driving mode with captivating aesthetic appeal. The BMW Curved Display provides the perfect stage for showing off this bespoke design and previews the user interface that will bring extra intensity to the driving experience in all future BMW M models.

디자인에 대해서는 호불호가 갈리지만, 스파이샷에서 보여줬던 모습보다는 괜찮은 거 같습니다. 게다가 보디는 더 견고하게 다졌고, 편의 장비는 더 풍성합니다. 내년쯤 추가될 M2에 대한 기대를 갖게 하네요.

국내 데뷔는 하반기로 점쳐집니다.

 

길이 4,783mm, 너비 1,852mm, 높이 1,442mm로 이전보다 1세대 모델에 비해 길이는 143mm, 너비는 27mm, 높이는 53mm 각각 더 늘어났습니다다.

 

좌우 타이어의 넓이도 1,595mm로 이전보다 50mm 늘어났고, 후면에서는 1,623mm로 이전보다 29mm 더 넓어졌네요. 실내 공간을 좌우하는 휠 베이스는 2,856mm가 되어 전 세대 대비 46mm 더 길고 3시리즈 세단보다 5mm 길어요. 전체적인 크기가 커진 만큼 트렁크 용량도 이전보다 39리터 증가한 470리터에 이릅니다. 뒷좌석 등받이를 접으면 최대 1,290리터까지 확장하는 것도 가능하지요.

2020 BMW M2 CS 화려한 사진들 63장 정리합니다.

현행 2시리즈의 최종병기라고 칭할 수도 있고요.

BMW가 소형 모델을 전륜구동으로 대체하겠다고 밝혔으니까요.

개인적으로 이처럼 작고 빠릿빠릿한 모델 하나 쯤 계속 남아줬으면 합니다. 

보디의 상당 부분을 카본 파이버로 이뤄진 파츠로 무장해 무게를 줄이는 동시에 공력 특성을 강화했고 엔진은 M3/M4와 같은 계열인 직렬 6기통 트윈 터보로 450마력까지 냅니다. M2 콤패티션보다 40마력 정도 높은데 이보다는 특성이 더 날카롭다는 것에 주목할 필요가 있어요.
