현대자동차(회장 정몽구)는 3월 3일(현지시간) 개막하는 제네바 모터쇼에서 선보일 예정인 올 뉴 투싼(프로젝트명 TL)의 내외장 이미지를 18일(수) 최초로 공개했다. 

이번에 공개된 내외장 이미지는 유럽 사양으로 제네바 모터쇼에 등장할 모델과 동일하며, 국내 모델은 3월경 공개할 예정이다. 

지난 3일 렌더링 이미지 공개로 첫 선을 보인 올 뉴 투싼은 2009년 이후 6년만에 선보이는 3세대 모델로, 현대차의 디자인 철학인 플루이딕 스컬프처 2.0을 적용해 SUV만의 대담한 이미지를 구현하면서도 세련된 도심형 스타일을 완성한 것이 특징이다. 

대형 헥사고날 그릴을 중심으로 헤드램프가 자연스레 연결돼 대담한 전면부 이미지를 구현했고, LED DRL(주간전조등)를 포함한 프론트 범퍼의 날개 형상으로 독특한 스타일을 완성했다. 

측면부에도 날렵한 사이드 캐릭터 라인을 적용해 강인한 측면 실루엣을 완성했을 뿐만 아니라, 수평 라인을 강조한 간결한 디자인과 좌우로 확장된 날렵한 리어콤비 램프로 매력적인 후면부 디자인을 구현했다. 

실내 디자인은 최상의 인체공학적 설계를 통해 운전자에게 효율적이고 감각적인 경험을 제공하며, 넓고 편안한 실내 공간을 통해 고객에게 최상의 편의를 선사한다. 

현대차 관계자는 “올 뉴 투싼은 유연하면서도 대담한 외관과 편안한 느낌의 실내가 잘 어우러진 SUV로, 중형 SUV 시장에서 절대 강자로 자리매김할 것”이라며, “이번 내외장 이미지 공개를 통해 올 뉴 투싼을 기다리는 고객들의 기대감을 한층 높일 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Renault’s new C-segment crossover, the All-New Kadjar, will be priced from just £17,995 when it reaches UK showrooms in September this year. Kadjar, which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2015, will complement Renault’s hugely successful B-segment crossover, Captur.

Kadjar is being offered in an 18-version line-up based on four trim lines familiar to owners of other Renault vehicles – Expression+, Dynamique Nav, Dynamique S Nav and Signature Nav. All provide a comprehensive standard specification, rising to the truly luxurious at the top-of-the-range. Renault’s fabled active and passive safety has been democratically applied across the range, while connectivity via the easy-to-use R-Link 2 system is fitted to all models above Expression+.

Standard safety features include ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution, electronic stability control with traction and understeer control, cruise control, speed limiter, Hill Start Assist, six airbags, seat belts with load limiters and pretensioners at the front, side impact protection bars and ISOFIX child-seat mounting points on the two outer rear seats.  

All versions have gravel, dust and rain protection kits, while for comfort and convenience there is an accessory power point, a 12-volt front socket, a trip computer, two-way adjustable steering column and an exterior temperature indicator.

Standard features and personalisation packages

Core features on Expression+ include an automatic electronic parking brake, front foglights, LED daytime running lamps, tinted windows, the 7-inch TFT instrument panel with digital speedometer, all-round electric windows, driver’s seat height adjustment, air conditioning, Bluetooth, a USB socket and a 4 x 20W DAB radio with fingertip controls and an AUX input.

Dynamique Nav adds to this with 17-inch alloy wheels, a cornering function on the front foglights, chrome exterior detailing, extra-tinted rear and tailgate windows, hands-free keycard, automatic door locking, dual-zone climate control, automatic lights and wipers, the Visio system (lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and automatic headlight beam adjustment), leather-rimmed steering wheel, driver’s seat lumbar adjustment, a 4 x 35W Arkamys 3D digital audio system and the R-Link 2 multimedia system including Navigation and European mapping.

This is further enhanced on Dynamique S Nav with 19-inch diamond-cut alloys, front and rear parking sensors, leather and cloth upholstery, passenger seat height adjustment, one-touch easy-folding rear bench, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors and the multi-position boot floor.

Finally, there is Signature Nav featuring exclusive 19-inch diamond-cut alloys, full LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, painted front and rear skid plates, side and boot kick plates, ‘Signature’ cloth and leather upholstery with a Nappa leather steering wheel, a height-adjustable passenger seat and the BOSE Energy Efficient eight-speaker sound system including sub-woofer.

Kadjar allows a significant level of personalisation through individual options and cost-saving packages. There are seven themed high-value equipment packages, depending on model.   

The Climate Pack for Expression+ delivers automatic dual-zone climate control and automatic headlights and wipers. The Parking Pack on Dynamique Nav adds front and rear parking sensors and electrically adjustable heated and folding door mirrors. For Signature Nav, the Parking Pack Premium includes Park Assist (Handsfree parking and rear parking camera); the Safety Pack Premium adds blind spot warning and automatic emergency braking; while the Techno Pack Premium includes all these options. The one-touch easy rear-seat folding system is offered in the Dynamique Nav’s Convenience Pack, while leather seats with height adjustment and seat heating make up the Leather Pack for Signature Nav.

Other accessories include side running boards, wheel arch extensions, a retractable tow bar which can be released from within the boot and illuminated lower body side mouldings.

New vehicle architecture

Kadjar is based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s versatile new Common Module Family (CMF) architecture, which allows a wide range of cars of different sizes to be created using a variety of modules consisting of out-of-view parts.  The platform is based around five available modules: Cockpit, Engine Bay, Front underbody, Rear underbody and Electronic architecture.

The three engines on offer are the 1.2-litre turbocharged TCe 130 hp four-cylinder direct-injection petrol unit, the 1.5-litre ENERGY dCi 110 hp four-cylinder diesel and the 1.6-litre ENERGY dCi four-cylinder 130 hp diesel.

An Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic gearbox is available with the dCi 110 engine. Intelligent four-wheel drive with three operating modes – Auto, LOCK and 2WD –is offered with the dCi 130 in the three upper trim levels.

The three engines, two gearboxes and two drive systems offer fuel economy of up to 74.3mpg, with CO₂emissions as low as 99g/km. Contributors to this are the sleek shape and low weight of the car (from 1,306kg); the Renault engine Stop&Start system, which is standard on all manual models; the double-clutch EDC transmission in place of a more fuel-sapping torque converter system; an ECO driving mode which optimises the engine’s performance when cruising; the Renault Driving eco² feature to help owners adopt a more economical driving style; and standard brake energy recovery.

Three cars in one

Renault showed how it could mould its instinctively French design flair to the world of crossovers with global appeal with Captur. Kadjar extends this by being effectively three cars in one – a subtle blend of SUV, estate and saloon – designed to slot into a cityscape or the countryside with equal ease.

All versions provide the peace of mind of Renault’s 4+ warranty and assistance package. The car is protected against defects recognised by Renault for four years or 100,000 miles (first two years have no mileage limit). In the event of a breakdown, Renault provides emergency roadside repairs or towing to the nearest dealer 24/7 every day of the year, plus three years’ European cover. There is also a three-year paint warranty and 12 years’ cover against corrosion. Servicing is required once a year or every 18,000 miles.

UK order books open in July, with first deliveries expected in late September. European versions of Kadjar are built at the Palencia plant in Spain. In 2016, Kadjar will also become the first Renault to be made in China as a result of a joint venture with Dongfeng.

PEUGEOT’s reputation for striking exterior design is second to none. With the eagerly anticipated arrival of the new PEUGEOT 208, on sale from June, the brand is launching a world-first technology for a production vehicle – a unique ‘textured paint’ finish.

Exclusive to the popular supermini and further evidence of the sophisticated style now running through its entire PEUGEOT model range, distinctive textured paint adds a contemporary twist to the idea of customer choice and individual personalisation.

The textured paint is currently available in two colours, Ice Grey and Ice Silver. For even greater individuality, cars can be specified with an optional Lime Yellow or Menthol White personalisation pack. These are available for the exterior, interior or both.

On offer from launch in June, textured paint offers several benefits. First and foremost, it emphasises the striking, modern lines of the PEUGEOT 208, reinforcing its dynamism and elegant design.

Secondly, the texture – which is subtly granular to the touch – is more hard-wearing and easier to care for than conventional matt paint. It offers exceptional resistance to micro-scratching and doesn’t suffer through frequent car washing.

Thirdly, because it is applied by production robots at the advanced Poissy manufacturing plant in France, outstanding quality is guaranteed for the lifetime of the car.

PEUGEOT textured paint is a world-first on a volume production car and is backed by an international patent which is the result of almost four years of technical development. While the initial coats of anti-corrosion, primer and colour base remain the same as for conventional metallic paint, the innovation is in the composition and application of the lacquer. It features fine particles of silica and micro-balloons of polyamide; the former give the paint its matt appearance, toughness and granular properties, the latter creates its special texture.

Throughout the history of motoring, unique exterior finishes such as these have only been available on limited edition models, or as a very expensive premium hand-applied option. For the new PEUGEOT 208, it will cost exactly the same as pearlescent paint – at just £645.

The colour palette for the new PEUGEOT 208 comprises 13 shades that meet the growing customer demand for differentiation and exclusivity. They include:

• 2 textured colours (new Ice Grey and new Ice Silver)
• 2 solid colours (Bianca White and Hurricane Grey)
• 7 metallic colours:  
  (new Orange Power, Aluminium, Shark Grey, Nera Black, Virtual Blue, Twilight Blue, Rioja Red)

Also making their debut on the new PEUGEOT 208 are two personalisation packs, an optional extra for both the exterior and interior of the car. They are factory-fitted options and available on Allure trim level and above. The Menthol White pack gives the 208 a touch of elegance, while the Lime Yellow pack is bright, modern and fun. Both feature various elements in the pack colour, including:

New PEUGEOT 208: enhanced desirability with strong attention to detail and high-quality

Revealed to the general public during the recent 85^th Geneva Motor Show, the new PEUGEOT 208 goes on sale across Europe from June. Range enhancements are the result of a comprehensive programme of developments, which include new technology such as Active City Brake and a rear view camera, added for greater comfort and safety.

The 208 is available withfour new engines featuring class-leading PureTech petrol and BlueHDi diesel Euro 6-compliant technology, plus a new and impressive quick-changing EAT6 automatic gearbox. All are both economical and powerful.

The exterior design has become sleeker due to a larger grille design with new black and chrome two-tone lights that have a distinctive new LED light signature.

Inside is a new soft-touch dashboard material, white back-lighting for the instrument panel and blue LED light guides for versions equipped with a panoramic roof.

Following the lead of PEUGEOT award-winning 308 and 508, the new 208 range can now be specified in the new GT Line finish, a design influenced by the sporty looks of the performance GTi model.

The Touring Berlinetta Lusso is a street legal two-seater coupe, first of a series of five units hand-built on demand.

Light, stiff and innovative, the Ferrari F12 chassis is the perfect basis for the Berlinetta Lusso coachwork.

The light 65-degree V12 engine with 6.3 litre displacement delivers maximum power of 740 HP and reaches a peak torque of 690 Nm. It is coupled to a 7-speed electrically actuated sequential gearbox with steering wheel mounted paddle-shift control and automatic mode.

Land Rover has strengthened its fastest-selling model, the Range Rover Evoque. The luxury compact SUV features a comprehensive range of new design features and technologies to reinforce its status as the market leader.

Range Rover Evoque's cutting-edge exterior design has been further enhanced with a selection of carefully chosen revisions. These updates include a new front bumper, two new grille designs, all-LED headlamps and three all-new alloy wheel designs.  These changes will enhance Evoque's unique design to a broad range of customers.

Interior changes include new seats and door casings, new infotainment system, accessed via an eight-inch touchscreen, and the introduction of new colour and materials such as Lunar Ice, Vintage Tan and Dark Cherry (Autobiography only) complementing Evoque's bold architectural forms.

Land Rover's advanced new diesel engine also debuts. The new EU6-compliant four-cylinder Ingenium unit brings a class-leading combination of performance, refinement and efficiency. The cutting-edge engine, which is designed, engineered and manufactured in the UK, provides up to 180PS, fuel economy of up to 68mpg (4.2l/100km) and CO₂ emissions as low as 109g/km*. That makes the class-leading Evoque the most efficient production Land Rover ever produced, saving customers up to €5,000^† , over three years, in some markets.

Exterior Design

Evoque's highly desirable design is a hallmark of this luxurious compact SUV. The introduction of the slimline LED foglamps and a noticeably wider tow-eye cover enhance the new front bumper design. The enlarged air intakes allude to its sporting character and create a more planted stance and further emphasise Evoque's assertive road presence.

Two new grille designs are available in a range of premium finishes. Evoque's standard grille is distinguished by two bold horizontal bars and a new fine-mesh grille pattern. Dynamic derivatives feature a hexagonal design, and its more prominent mesh area lends a suitably performance-oriented character to these sporting derivatives.

2016 model year Evoque is the first Jaguar Land Rover product to be offered with full-LED adaptive headlamps, providing superior visibility at night. This advanced technology has been pivotal in creating a signature headlamp and tail lamp design, working in harmony with Evoque's dramatic exterior. Enhancing safety and creating an even more striking visual statement, the indicator function is now integrated into Evoque's distinctive LED daytime-running lights (DRLs), sweeping across the full width of the light clusters. As an additional benefit, energy-efficient LED technology reduces the demands placed on Evoque's electrical systems.

Elsewhere, the distinctive bonnet vents previously fitted only to coupé models are introduced on five-door HSE Dynamic and Autobiography specification, bringing the sporting character of coupé to the most versatile derivative. A new tailgate spoiler includes a wider, slimmer high-level LED rear brake light that cleanly integrates within the spoiler and optional eye-catching new roof fins feature an integrated 3G antenna, for improved mobile phone signal.

With three all-new alloy wheel designs with two finishes, a choice of Dynamic or standard body kit, and an extensive palette of exterior colours with available contrast roof designs, the possibilities for creating an Evoque to a customer's bespoke specification are now almost endless.

Interior design

New seats and door casings combined with a redesigned instrument binnacle promote a sophisticated ambiance to the overall interior. New premium soft-touch materials create improved levels of quality with a broader specification range than ever before.

Standard models feature textile-woven Ebony fabric and six-way adjustment while flagship models feature new unique-in-class front massage seats (optional) with 14-way electric adjustment. Owners can choose from 13 colourways - two of which are new (Lunar Ice and Vintage Tan) - while customer configurable  ambient interior lighting provides additional visual drama on the inside.

New engines

The new aluminium Ingenium diesel engine brings class-leading efficiency to the 2016 model year Range Rover Evoque, making it the most efficient production Land Rover ever. The new engines are manufactured at the company's advanced new £500m Engine Manufacturing Centre in the West Midlands, UK.

The all-aluminium Ingenium TD4 engine, 20-30kg lighter than its predecessor with stiff cylinder blocks and decoupled injectors ensuring low levels of vibration and noise intrusion, is available in two power outputs: 150PS offering fuel economy of up to 68mpg* (4.2 l/100km) and class-leading CO₂ emissions of 109g/km*, while the potent 180PS unit offers 59mpg* (4.8 l/100km) and CO₂ emissions from 125g/km*. The 150PS unit is 18% more fuel efficient versus the Evoque's previous diesel engines.

A range of advanced features have been applied to the Ingenium engines to ensure outstanding environmental performance, including variable valve timing and a series of low friction technologies. Selective catalytic reduction and a new low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation system significantly reduce NOx emissions.

Service intervals have been extended from 16,000 miles to 21,000** miles to reduce running costs on the new lightweight engines.

The 2016 model year Evoque is also offered with Land Rover's advanced 240PS Si4 petrol engine. Delivering strong performance, Si4 derivatives can accelerate from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in just 7.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 217km/h (135mph), and return fuel economy of 36mpg* (7.8 l/100km) and CO₂emissions of 181g/km*.

Efficient Capability

The 2016 model year Range Rover Evoque will be the first Land Rover vehicle to be designated as an 'E-Capability' variant. The most efficient models will wear a blue 'Evoque' badge, applied to the eD4 109g/km (coupe) and 113g/km (five-door) front-wheel drive models, as well as the 125g/km all-wheel drive derivative, highlighting the status of Land Rover's most efficient vehicles.

Advanced consumer-centric technology

The range of improvements engineered into the 2016 model year Range Rover Evoque includes a series of new convenience features, with an all-new eight-inch InControl^TM Touch touchscreen infotainment system providing a more intuitive experience.

InControl^TM Touch is fitted as standard equipment on the Pure and SE Evoque models, featuring easy-to-navigate menus and allowing users to swipe between screens just like a smartphone. InControl^TM Apps allows owners to access many popular smartphone apps using the centrally-mounted touchscreen on the central console.

Additionally, the six-speaker stereo system can be upgraded to include SD-card based satellite navigation, DAB, Sirius and HD Radio where appropriate.

InControl^TM Touch Plus, standard on HSE, HSE Dynamic and Autobiography, can also be specified, comprising HDD-based navigation^† , a rear-seat entertainment system complete with a pair of eight-inch video screens and wireless digital headphones, and an 11- or 17-speaker Meridian audio system.

An innovative hands-free tailgate function also adds a new dimension to the convenience of Evoque ownership. It allows owners to automatically open and close the tailgate by waving a foot beneath the rear bumper, whilst not compromising security. The handy feature is even compatible with a tow bar and greatly improves access to the luggage space when returning to the vehicle with your arms full of shopping.

Class-leading capability

The 2016 model year Range Rover Evoque's class-leading capability has been enhanced by the introduction of Land Rover's innovative All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC), first seen on the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.

The stress-reducing technology maintains a pre-determined speed (selected using the cruise control function) in forward or reverse gears between 1.1mph and 19mph (1.8km/h to 30km/h), allowing the driver to concentrate on negotiating tricky terrain. ATPC makes Evoque's class-leading off-road capability more accessible and enjoyable than ever.

Safety features

A range of innovative new features enhance 2016 model year Evoque's comprehensive array of safety features. Lane-Keeping Assist uses the stereo digital camera to prevent unintended lane changes by monitoring road markings. If the vehicle begins to drift into an adjacent lane without the driver signalling beforehand, Lane-Keeping Assist applies a gentle steering correction to maintain its lane position.

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) prevents or greatly reduces the severity of accidents in the event of the driver failing to take preventative action.

Using an advanced forward-facing stereo digital camera, the system can identify potential hazards ahead. If a collision risk is detected, the driver is alerted by visual and audible prompts and, if the driver fails to take evasive action, the system helps to avoid collisions below 50km/h (32mph), and reduces the severity of an impact at speeds below 80km/h (50mph).

Attention Assist Estimation completes the trio of advanced new safety systems fitted to 2016 model year Evoque. It monitors steering inputs to detect when a driver is at risk of falling asleep at the wheel. Audible alarms and visual warnings signal when drowsiness is detected. 

Evoque: the most desirable luxury compact SUV

The 2016 model year Evoque's trim levels have been realigned to match those of the Range Rover Sport so customers have the choice of five highly-desirable models: Pure, SE, HSE, HSE Dynamic and Autobiography; and a suite of 15 desirable option packs^† .

More than 400,000 units of Evoque have been produced since its introduction in 2011 making the premium compact SUV the fastest-selling Land Rover of all time. Last year, 2014, marked the Evoque's most successful year to date, with 125,364 global sales.

This sales success has been accompanied by critical acclaim, as Evoque has won more than 165 international awards since launch. The hugely successful model will also be the most efficient car in its class when deliveries begin in August 2015, in over 170 markets worldwide.

Specific pricing by market will be announced closer to launch. Indicative pricing for the 2016 model year Range Rover Evoque will be comparable with the current model.

벤틀리의 아이콘이라고도 할 수 있는 매트릭스 그릴과 4개의 원형 헤드램프는 더욱 깊어지고 풍부한 느낌으로 새롭게 디자인됐으며, 메탈릭해진 브리티시 레이싱 그린(British Racing Green) 바디 색상에 이르기까지 EXP 10 Speed 6는 클래식한 감성에서 시작해 현대적인 아이디어로 완성했음이 확연히 드러난다.

EXP 10 Speed 6의 형태와 라인은 날카로운 직선 라인과 흐르는듯한 표면, 그리고 속도감을 나타내기 위해 입체적으로 처리된 면 등이 조화를 만들어내면서 하나의 역동적인 조각품처럼 완성됐다. 짧은 전면 오버행, 긴 본넷, 낮은 그릴 그리고 넓은 후면과 긴 C-포스트 등의 사용으로 근육질의 비율과 탄탄한 모습을 갖추게 된 외관 스타일링을 통해 EXP 10 Speed 6의 고속 잠재력을 엿볼 수 있다.

모든 소재와 디테일은 현대 벤틀리 스타일답게 디자인 됐다. 최첨단 3D 메탈 프린팅 기술을 통해 그릴 메쉬, 배기구, 도어 핸들 그리고 측면 통풍구 등이 마이크로 스케일의 정교한 디자인으로 완성됐다. 벤틀리의 아이콘적인 메쉬 그릴은 격자로 세공된 납작한 형태가 아니라 특정 각도에서만 보이는 복잡한 3D 기하학으로 다양한 깊이를 가지게 됐다. 또한 벤틀리의 퀼팅 가죽은 헤드램프의 정교한 유리 3D 텍스쳐에도 영감을 주었다.

벤틀리 모델 중 성능에 가장 집중한 럭셔리한 실내

내부 디자인은 주변을 따라 콘솔과 2개의 대칭적인 윙 그리고 결국 도어로 흘러 다시 콘솔 팔걸이로 돌아가는 연속선에서 영감을 받았다. 우아하게 퀼팅 처리된 스포츠 시트는 운전자가 사용하는 다양한 컨트롤과 직관적인12인치 터치 스크린이 자리하고 있는 중앙 콘솔 양 옆에 자리하고 있다. 이러한 특징은 미래 지향적인 기술을 진보적인 벤틀리의 장인정신과 끊임없이 연결시킨다.

각각의 디테일은 벤틀리의 내부 DNA 원칙을 따름과 동시에 이를 더욱 발전시켰다. 클래식하고 명확한 의도를 지닌 벤틀리의 오돌토돌한 표면은 차량 컨트롤 전반에 적용돼 있으나 EXP 10 Speed 6의 경우 강철과 구리를함께 사용해 2가지 금속 3D 텍스쳐를 만들어 냈다. 전통적인 소재와 현대적인 디자인요소를 결합시킨 EXP 10 Speed 6의 도어에는 단단한 체리 우드로 가공된 3D 퀼팅이 적용됐다. 이렇게 완성된 다이아몬드 형태는 각각중앙에 구리를 적용해 마무리 됐다.

중앙 콘솔에는 디지털 정보가 제공되는데, 이는 알루미늄 프레임의 커브드 터치 스크린을 통해 조정할 수 있다. 대쉬보드 계기 장치는 운전자의 시선에서 봤을 때 납작하게 배치되어 있으며, 시동은 알루미늄 구리, 그리고체리 우드로 마감 처리된 기어 레버에 장착된 “B” 버튼으로 걸 수 있다. 기계적인 회전속도계와 디지털 디스플레가 결합되어 현대적인 정보와 아날로그적인 아름다움의 완벽한 균형을 이뤄냈다.

뒷 공간은 2개의 구획으로 나뉘어져 특별하게 디자인된 4개의 짐을 담을 수 있게 디자인 됐다. 다른 내부 공간과 마찬가지로, 뒷좌석 또한 벤틀리의 장인들이 최고급 폴트로나 프라우(Poltrona Frau) 가죽으로 마감해 럭셔리함을 잃지 않았다.

Geneva, 03/03/2015. - SEAT has its eyes firmly set on the year 2020. The Spanish carmaker revealed its strategic vision for the future in Geneva today with the 20V20 showcar (meaning Vision 2020), an SUV that sets the stage for the brand’s future and puts forward the new design language. “The 20V20 shows our ambition”, said SEAT President Jürgen Stackmann today during the company’s presentation at the Geneva Motor Show. “It is our guiding star and the lighthouse for our development for the coming five-year period”.

Stackmann emphasised that “SEAT will be applying the winning Leon product formula to the entire range. We’ve taken all product decisions to consolidate the successful path started with LEON and we have finalised our product plan for the coming years. SEAT will shift focus from the small car to the compact car category. The centre of gravity shifts upwards entering big, fast growing and more profitable segments”. In addition, Stackmann reaffirmed the brand’s commitment to enhancing connectivity, which is backed by the agreement announced yesterday with SAMSUNG.

The President of SEAT also announced that the brand continues having a positive momentum in the first two months of the year compared to the same period in 2014: “To date, our global sales have grown 7.5%”. Stackmann underscored that in 2014 SEAT sales improved by more than 10% for the second consecutive year and placed emphasis on the big EU markets, including Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and Italy, where the brand displayed double-digit growth.

The success of the Leon family explains the brand’s surge in sales. “For the first time in our history we have sold more Leon than Ibiza. The Leon family is now complete”, summarised Stackmann, who announced the world premiere of SEAT’s first compact SUV at next year’s Geneva Motor Show.

20V20, SEAT’s strategic vision

The SEAT 20V20 combines the dynamic silhouette of a four-door sports coupé with the refinement of an SUV and the versatility and utility of a mid-size estate car. At a length of 4,659 metres and with its 20-inch wheels and the determined expression conveyed by its adaptive full-LED headlamps, this sports utility has a robust stance that is in no way aggressive, while the interior offers a generous amount of space and premium ambience for five. In addition, a comprenhensive package of driver assistance systems raises the levels of comfort and safety even further. The array of drive options is multi-faceted, ranging from the high-performance TSI and TDI motors to plug-in hybrids. The power is delivered to the wheels via the DSG transmission and electronically controlled all-wheel drive.
