2015 디트로이트 모터쇼에 등장한 폭스바겐 크로스 쿠페 GTE 컨셉입니다. 독일 메이커들 중심으로 SUV와 쿠페를 접목한 모델들이 많이 나오는 데 이모델도 비슷한 컨셉입니다. 다만 여느 모델들보다 늦게 나오는 만큼 뭔가 다른 구석이 있어야지 하는 생각에서인지 파워트레인은 최신 플러그인 하이브리드 형태로 얹었네요.
280마력짜리 V6 3.6리터 직분사 엔진과 2개의 모터를 결합한 형태며 시스템출력이 360마력에 달합니다. 6초 만에 0-97km/h 가속을 끝내고 최고속은 209km/h로 알려졌습니다.
무엇보다 32km 정도를 가솔린 없이 주행할 수 있어 가까운 출퇴근용이라면 집에서 충전해 전기차처럼 쓸 수 있습니다. 물론 장거리엔 엔진의 도움을 받고요.
